We got to talk with Elder Barton today when he was in the airport.  We all stayed home today waiting for his call and it was well worth it!

Meus queridos!!!! How y'all doin!!!!  Man, this week was fantastic! We were super blessed this week with a baptism. Her name is Leandra and she was a golden investigator! It was super amazing!!!!  We actually met her through an indirect contact on the street. She had already started quitting smoking before we even met her, literally 2 days before we met her! We taught her once the day before last Sunday, she went to church with us and loved it, then we taught her again throughout the week and she was baptized  this Saturday ! It was super neat! We taught her with this one guy in our ward named Rafael this one night at the church. He served a mission in Brazil and they baptize like crazy there, so I payed really close attention to a lot of the things he did.  One thing I thought was super funny and awesome was at the end when she started asking how the baptism would go. Week 37: April 30,2018 - More of Leandra's Story

Hey there good lookins!!! Hope you all are doing well!!!  Man, I just feel so blessed to have you all as my family!!! You all are so smart, so happy, so awesome!!! I loved reading all of your letters to me! That is my absolute favorite part of pday, hearing from all of you. Ellie, not gonna lie, you looked marvelous!!! Seriously!!!! Holy cow!!!! That looked like it was so much fun!!! I love hearing all the fun things you all are doing together!!!  We had a few neat miracles this week. Not gonna lie, this week was super slow. I'd never had so much rejection here in Portugal than this week. I felt super bad for my companion. Sort of like a bad start for him. We have some good ideas of how we are going to do better this next week though. We're pretty excited for that. We also had some super cool things happen too though. Week 2: Letter & Pics

Hey hey hey!!!! Como estao?!?!?! Wow, already 2 weeks!!! so crazy!!!  I was thinking about writing you guys all day!!! Ok, lets see, so after I emailed you guys last P-day, we got back to our classroom and started studying and getting our lesson ready for Mateus, our "investigator" at the MTC. We planned to teach him about the plan of salvation. We went to teach him and the lesson went pretty well, but at the end he seemed iffy. We decided to bear our testimonies to him, I did it without any notes, just straight from the heart in the best portuguese I could. It was awesome, he seemed super happy and the spirit was much stronger. At the end, not part of the lesson plan, I told him to read d and c section 76, all of it! Elder White told me about it the first day we came here, and I read it soon after that; I thought it was perfect for Mateus.
