Week 88: April 27, 2019 - The Good Part

Dear Family,

Hey y'all!!! Hope you are doing super well!!!
We had a good week of work this week. We got to leave the office a lot more. I feel like we are getting better at that. It seems like things work out better too when we leave and put things in the office aside. The Lord always blesses us. There was something pretty cool that happened. We had to have some elders from an area pretty far away come down here to the office to take care of some residency stuff. The president of one of the districts called the office needing some information about one of the branch presidents. The elders from that branch, the elders that came here to take care of a residency issue, were here in the office when he called! I just gave the phone over to them and they helped out. It was perfect! So cool!!! It was a simple thing, but I need to pay more attention to the simple small miracles that the Lord does...His tender mercies. Those little things just continue and continue to add to my testimony that He lives and that he is omniscient of everything.

I also had a neat experience with President and Sister Fillmore this week. I had a neat interview with him and Sister Fillmore and presented a few questions to them. I already told Mom and Dad about it, but in simple words, they taught me the importance of finding the principles behind rules and living a higher law. He taught me how important revelation is in helping me know what I need to do. I studied more on what he taught me and read from Come Follow Me. I read about the story of Martha and Mary when Christ was in their home and Mary was listening to Christ's teachings while Martha was busy working and taking care of chores. Martha gets sort of "judgy" and mad that Mary just sat there while she worked. But Christ responds with something I'm sure she was not expecting. He said that Mary had chosen the good part, something that couldn't be taken from her, something that would lead her to eternal life. I liked that a lot.

I read a talk called, "Choosing Charity: That Good Part" by President Bonnie D Parkin. I recommend that, it was really good. It made me think a lot about how I use my time and whether I am choosing the good part, or in other words, the best thing to do rather than the good or even better thing.

I love you all sooooo much!!! I hope you all have a wonderful week!!!!
Love always,
