Week 19: December 25, 2017

Hello family!!!!
That was so amazing talking to you all!!!! It seriously felt unreal!!!!! I miss you all so much!!!!!! I hope you all have a merry merry Christmas!!!!!!Love you all so much!!!!!
So, we already had the emotional face time, hehehe, so Ill just write about a few more things that happened this week.
My testimony of the word of wisdom skyrocketed this week!!!! In one day, we had a ton of things happen to us!!!! We visited an investigator named Joao Pedro. When we got to his house, only his mom was there. We just talked to her outside of her door. She told us about some concern for her son and about some things that were going on. Just a little bit after, Joao showed up. he was pale and looked in a rush. We asked him how he was doing. He said, not good. Then he showed us a handful of drugs. And said he had to go. We walked away and were just in shock. He later called us and asked us if we could come back to his house the next day to help him stop. We did. He seems to be doing better now and he even came to church this Sunday!!! Then, later that same day, we were out walking in an apartment area and this guy stopped me. My companion passed by talking on the phone to someone. The guy was drunk and asked me in Portuguese where I was from. I said California united states. Then he said, no no, I mean where are you going, in his broken english. I told him I was going to go teach someone. He stopped and said that I was ugly and a bunch of other crazy things. I don't know why, but I just said ok, and put out my hand to shake his hand and said God loves you. Then he said , but hey, tomorrow is a new day, and then he looked at me as he stepped out of my way to pass and said to never return! Crazy!!!! It was actually pretty funny!!! That is a great reason right there why we have the word of wisdom!!!! hahahahaha!!! Don't have much more time to write, thought I would, but no, hahaha!

Dear Family, How y'all been?!?! You all look so good in your pics that you are  sending me! Seriously such an awesome family!!!!! It was an amazing Easter week this week. This week was sort of taken  over by meetings. We spent almost an entire day at a zone conference. It was actually super neat. Im really loving all the meetings we have  to learn and become better missionaries. One thing that our mission is  really focusing on right now is boldness. Its actually something I  really need to learn. Our president is amazing! He speaks to us with a  lot of power and authority. He told us that boldness was not being annoying or even forceful, it was teaching the gospel with clarity and  firmness. He said the way to develop that was be first, believing in  the gospel, then having faith, then repenting, then feeling the Holy  Ghost, then continuing with the process. It was basically the gospel  of Jesus Christ. I thought it was interesting...
