First email from Elder Barton

Hey family!!!
Man is it crazy to be here!!! still feels unreal!!
The flight was amazing, made it safe with no problems. you would not believe the craziness that happened on my way to the mtc. mom probably already told you guys the story, but I met this guy on the plane named Steven. he wasn't lds or anything but was totally opened to talking about whatever, made it so easy. landed and saw brother matsusaka and logan wells, so cool. Then, got back with ballards. they were so kind and it was so much fun to be with them. made a quick innout run and and got some secret sauce on my tie :( dont have much time to write but I feel super welcome here and super happy! all the other elders kept saying hi and welcome to the mtc. went right into my language class and met others from my district. they all seem like really cool people. anyway, love you guys so much!! I'll keep you guys posted and write more detailed emails when I have time. love you all so much!!!

Dear Family, How y'all been?!?! You all look so good in your pics that you are  sending me! Seriously such an awesome family!!!!! It was an amazing Easter week this week. This week was sort of taken  over by meetings. We spent almost an entire day at a zone conference. It was actually super neat. Im really loving all the meetings we have  to learn and become better missionaries. One thing that our mission is  really focusing on right now is boldness. Its actually something I  really need to learn. Our president is amazing! He speaks to us with a  lot of power and authority. He told us that boldness was not being annoying or even forceful, it was teaching the gospel with clarity and  firmness. He said the way to develop that was be first, believing in  the gospel, then having faith, then repenting, then feeling the Holy  Ghost, then continuing with the process.
